Brookdale Naples has established a Virtual Dementia Tour. The 10 minute tour simulates the experience of a person with dementia, and has a profound impact on those who have experienced it. It is a powerful way to achieve understanding and empathy for people suffering with dementia and in particular with Alzheimer’s disease.
McKenney Home Care has scheduled training sessions using the Virtual Dementia Tour to enrich and sensitize its caregivers to the issues and feelings of dementia patients. We express our gratitutde to Brookdale Naples for providing this important community resource.
