PBS Special Highlights the growing problem of hunger in the Senior Community

On May 22, 2015 PBS did a special report on the growing number of seniors threatened by hunger.  Surprisingly the number has doubled since 2001 and is getting worse.  Jaclynn Faffer, CEO of the Naples Jewish Family and Community Services of SW Florida was featured in the program and offered she “didn’t think that I would find the depth of the challenges that are faced by people, and specifically the seniors.  We have, of our 676 members, about 60% are at, near or below the poverty line.”  See the full report here.
