Grand Opening of McKenney Home Companions!

We are pleased to announce the opening of McKenney Home Companions in Naples, Florida, serving the needs of residents in Collier and Lee Counties.  Our goal is to assist you or your loved one in maintaining a high quality of life while living at home.  We provide Companion Services, a Daily Smile Program and Geriatric Care Management Services.
Understanding that people sometimes need assistance to function at home as they had in the past, we provide highly screened professional assistants who can help ensure that things are not “falling between the cracks”.  Socialization, transportation, light housekeeping, shopping, errands and meal preparation, medication reminders, skype calls with family members, all of these things can seem overwhelming, but with a little assistance, your or your loved one’s household and life can run as smoothly as ever.   Registered with the State of Florida we go beyond the norm in screening and educating our assistants so that they are well prepared to handle your non-medical needs. We provide assistance on a full day, half day, hourly or live in basis to elderly, disabled or anyone who needs a little assistance.
We are proud to tell you about our new program called The Daily Smile.  McKenney Home Companions will send a responsible, friendly adult on a daily basis to drop in just long enough to say hello to your loved one, ensure they are up and about, perhaps take a photo with an iPad and send it to the requesting family member or friend.  If the client indicates they need something, this will be communicated to the family member/friend and with their permission arrangements will be made to provide for those needs.
Sometimes a person or family needs more than just companion services; they need help managing their overall wellbeing and affairs.  If this is the we also provide Geriatric Care Managers who are trained to provide individual professional client-centered services to families dealing with the important challenge of overseeing the wellbeing of elderly or disabled loved ones. Services include things like evaluating housing options, housing transitions, coordination of healthcare and other services to keep a person healthy and safe in their home, attending doctors’ appointments, communication with family members and professionals, working with attorney’s or accountants for fiscal or administrative needs.
